Pupil Premium is an allocation of funding provided to schools to support children who may be vulnerable to underachievement.
Pupil Premium is allocated to those who have been eligible for FSM (Free School Meals) at any point in the last six years, looked after children, those that have left local-authority care due to adoption, a special guardianship order or a child arrangements order and for children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
Pupil Premium monies should be used to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.
