At Woodend Farm Secondary School, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse and often complex needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Persistent drive for Autonomy (PDA). We recognise that many of our learners experience significant barriers to accessing conventional education, particularly those whose profiles include high anxiety, demand avoidance, and a need for autonomy. In response, we have developed a flexible, inclusive, and trauma-informed curriculum that enables all pupils to engage meaningfully with their learning and achieve recognised outcomes in a way that feels safe and empowering.
